Chef Yia Vang has been a trailblazer in the Twin Cities, creating a highly-celebrated Hmong restaurant in Minneapolis.
He was named MSP Magazine's “Chef of the Year 2019” and was nationally recognized as a James Beard Award Finalist in 2022. This year, his outstanding Hmong food in Minneapolis has continued to gain him recognition, as he’s a semi-finalist for the Best Chef Midwest James Beard award.
